Last Thursday morning we all woke up early to see Lisa off; the Germans were flying to Chicago, spending Thursday, Friday, and Saturday there, and then flying home that evening.
We asked Lisa if there was anything she wanted or forgot that we would get it to her, she had only one request…she wants to see the tape of the performances of “Anything Goes”. Lisa has attended quite a few rehearsals, but, she’s never seen the ending. Hopefully I’ll have that video online this weekend….
Monday was the farewell dinner at the high school…..a bit shocked (shocked!) at what other families brought, a bucket from KFC, fried chicken and mac and cheese from Meijer! Come on people! We made enchiladas (which went well after the weekend dinner of tacos (Lisa had never had tacos, so, that was a good meal. Filled her taco with lettuce first, then cheese, then meat….Matthew was copying that approach!), made two pans and that was a good thing, kids and parents wiped them out!
Tuesday I drove Lisa and Nora back to 12 Oaks Mall…..four hours of shopping for them, I did some work in the center of the mall.
Wednesday Lisa, and most of the Germans, went to the dress rehearsal. Walked to Coldstone (second visit of the trip); went with Nora to Wal-Mart for a candy-shopping stop, and then out with Kevin and the group to a going away party/get together.
