The main event of Up North 2015 was going to Munising and seeing, and then kayaking, Pictured Rocks. After the hike we made our way to Munising and checked into our motel
(Sunset on the Bay. The boys have been asking what the difference between a hotel and a motel is and, voila, we get to show them).
It was ok. Nothing special, was a 2 bedroom unit and the air conditioning was plenty cold, so, it was all good.
Had dinner in town, and Munising is not much to write home about. Ended up getting pizza to go at what must be the only pizza shop in town, it was very busy. Ended up eating on a picnic table while waiting for our sunset cruise to see the Rocks.
And the cruise was fine….a good way to see the different rock formations. Lake Superior was super calm almost the entire time we were there and bitter cold, rocking about 51 degrees in early July.
Not going to comment much on the pictures; there are better pictures coming in the next Up North post. Was pretty difficult to take pictures on the sightseeing cruise though….you would think people might move at least a little bit out of the way at some point during the cruise to let others take some pictures, but, no, not so much.
