Kevin finished 4th in the Open Race to end the cross country season in 13:14; that was 11th among the Okemos boys team (the top 7 were in the other race).
Not quite sure what to think here. Kevin is frustrated with his results, he may have actually slowed down a bit compared to this time last year. He tried, and succeeded, all summer to run a 6:20 pace for 2 or 3 miles but never got close to the 12:40 time that would have translated to. Never broke 13 minutes this year; best time was 13:02.
Last winter Kevin ran at least once a week; last summer he ran 2 or 3 times a week……am pretty sure he won’t be doing the winter running and will have to go back to the drawing board on the summer training after track. Next year he’s running 5k’s at the high school…think that might be good for Kevin because he has the endurance but, just not sure what he wants out of it at this point.
