To the Construction Site

My Dad's in town this weekend; took him out to Selfridge to visit the construction project I'm managing. Since he refers to my job as "moving dirt", figured he'd get a kick out of watching dirt get moved.

The dirt (impacted soil and debris disposed of here in the 60's and 70's are being moved to the former landfill and consolidated there)

Dad arrived Thursday afternoon; got to see soccer lessons for Matthew and Christopher and Christopher's baseball game that evening. Christopher had a successful outing, one strike out, one hit with a run scored, one put out where he tagged the guy again after fielding the ball as the pitcher and a successful catch and throw to first when he was playing second. Mud Hens scored their 2nd win. Friday was Selfridge; this morning was the "Michigan Mile" (that's a post of it's own later tonight!), tonight is Game 4!
