Spring Break - Day 7: Roatan–WPCamera

Hey, it took two cruises but we finally made it into Roatan!

And it was a good stop….but the one big attraction, snorkeling, was out because of the high winds and rough surf.  So that was a downer.  But the animal visit at the start of the tour might have been the highlight of the trip for the boys.

A whole lot of pictures and not a lot of commentary……I took pictures on two cameras today; the waterproof camera and my Iphone…..so we’ll go with the camera pictures here and save the Iphone ones for later…

The first part of our stay in Honduras was a trip to Victor Bodden’s….well, I’m not sure what you would call it.  Zoo seems wrong…the facility wasn’t that structured or nice.  Menagerie? I guess that works as well as any….a series of 10 cages and enclosures with a variety of local animals.  Some cages you were more than welcome to walk into (with the guide, of course) and the occupants, here, the capucan monkeys, would swing down and say hello.

I have not looked at this GoPro video….I have no idea if it looks decent or not….

I think Suzanne’s monkey-selfies turned out pretty well….

and while we couldn’t swim out and snorkel due to the waves it was certainly nice enough to get out into the ocean for a little bit after the animal-visit.
