Not a lot going on in the afternoon after we arrived. We flew into Fort Lauderdale, instead of MIami, because it was cheaper. Rented a car at the airport; we will drop it in downtown Miami Saturday morning before we head to the port,
The first order of business was, well, after a 4 am start and a minimal breakfast, there was a lot of hunger issue. Conveniently, the hotel is within walking distance of the Hard Rock Café, so, we can take care of two things at once.

We drove over to Miami Beach and South Beach later that evening. Suzanne has a bunch of pictures I want for a post, but, I think I may wait and just do one giant post of all of them later.
Walked out to the beach for a while and then walked up and down South Beach for a little bit. Boys had fun looking at the nice cars; we were never on the beach during the afternoon to see some of the more, um, exotic sights.
