Have to go out of chronologic order here since some of the video for Part Two is at home, and I’m currently parked in Minneapolis waiting to go home.
One of the *events* on this trip was Kevin and Matthew going up to the top of the Stratosphere and doing the rides (a roller coaster, and some other stuff) at the top. Since that’s not really Christopher’s cup-of-tea, I took the big guy and went and did something else while Mom and the boys went up the tower.
Matthew was initially hesitant to do some of the rides, but, after Kevin’s first pass at the X-Scream decided that he would like to do them too……keep in mind that this ride takes place as you on the track 850 feet above the ground.
Part two was a Kevin only adventure; he wanted to do the SkyJump; an-as-close-to-free-fall-as-you-can-get jump off of the top of the Stratosphere all the way down to the ground. Kevin was equipped with a wrist camera and Suzanne purchased the DVD after the jump…..I’ve since converted it into a form that can be uploaded and you can view it by clicking on the video below.
A few comments: 1) Kevin is the master of the one word answer 2) I don’t know Kevin to get freaked out by too many things, and he certainly didn’t hesitate to take the step off of the building into thin air…..I did like his “Oh God!” though……
