Tennis – Update 1

 

(morning blogging)  Got a look at the coach’s schedule for round-robin play…figured out that yesterday’s 7-6 (11-9) loss wasn’t as crushing as I thought it was at first.

The good news:  Kyle/Kevin are Team 4; so, it seems at some point that the coach started off ranking them 4th…which is playing on varsity.  They lost to team 5.

The ok news:  Turns out it’s wins/losses/games won…..so, in the end, they earned as many games as they would for a 6-4 win.  So, it could be a lot worse…

The bad news:  They lost.  Team 5 has 7 games, not 6, or less.

Today’s match was against Team 6….who lost yesterday 7-5 to Team 7.

Kevin has said the NASA stickers can stay when he takes possession…..some day…..

Kevin/Kyle won 6-3.  Kevin reports that he held his serve all three times and “served it out at love” which I am taking to mean that he served the winning game and they won without giving up any points.  But I will seek clarification on this tennis jargon….
