A win on Thursday, 4-2. But the team took a tongue-lashing from the coach, because it should have been 10-0 at least. Too much selfishness; if we would have made a few passes that other team wouldn’t have come near us.
*The* boys, I thought, played well. At least for now, Christopher’s going to be playing mostly defense….he’s the only one that seems to understand that defense means defense, not defense-makes-it-harder-for-me-to-get-up-and-score-goals-and-I-wish-I-wasn’t-back-here. Think he’s starting to relish the role….announced before he went out onto the field once that he was going to be a “stone wall!”. Matthew had a good game too; a little too adventurous in his turn at goal (but, no goals scored, so, no big deal), and had an assist on a goal as well.
