Vacation Day Three – Panhandle Days

Today is what I’m going to call a rarity on this vacation; a day without many things going on.  Just a quiet day at Grandma’s

It’s 8 am…where are your children?  I know where mine are!

We assembled Matthew’s biggest (by size) present in the morning, and he wasted no time trying his new metal detector out.

This backyard is full of buried treasure!

We headed over to Lions Park right before lunch.  Give the metal detector full points; it helped us pull four pennies out of the ground!  Still a few coins short of a treasure, but, it was pretty fun hearing a beep and actually finding something.

Christopher waded out onto one of the sandbars near the park….it was cloudy this morning, but, cleared up nicely in the afternoon.

The rest of Sunday was filled with movies (boys went solo to Wimpy Kid while Dad and Kevin watched Sucker Punch and Mom shopped.  Dinner here and then a movie tonight (…probably Unstoppable) and an early start tomorrow as we head to Orlando.  And a few hours of work for Dad….
