States visited after age 16. We decided it wasn't fair to count states you only drove through as a kid (but you can count where you lived....or went to camp or did something)
Suzanne and I were talking about this on the drive. My number is 40 but will be 44 by the end of April. Will get SC and NC this trip. Will get NH and MA for work the first week we get back. Will still need AR, CT, KS, OK, RI, and VT to hit fifty.
Suzanne's number is lower; she has RI and MA but doesn't have CO, DE, IA, NE, or SD. She may have some middle states when her family drove from California to Ann Arbor but she is unsure of the route they took. She'll get WV on the trip back north (along with NC and SC).
