Euro2012 – Day Eighteen – London / Greenwich

The plan for today is to cruise down the River Thames to Greenwich….

This kid will pose for a picture pretty much all the time.  Matthew?  Not so much.

How have the boys behaved on this trip?  They have had their moments, and, admittedly, some of those moments come from being cooped up in the same room with Mom and Dad.  I’m not sure what Matthew’s favorite port is, but Cpher lists Mallorca as one of his top three…..and he was throwing up all that day.  They have been little troopers through the sicknesses.

Everyone, by the way, is coming down with a cough/cold now….

We didn’t have a lot of time to set this up; there was a long line to even take the picture.  I wish they had gotten their hands over the line…

This ball drops every day at 1 pm to mark what is exactly 1 pm….The sailors on the ships would watch the observatory to set their clocks, and the sailor who had this duty was said to be “on the ball”….

More clock and measurement stuff…

We had lunch at Greenwich Market; Suzanne and the boys have Thai, I have this chorizo sandwich that is pretty decent.  Then we take the cruise home.

Suzanne made it through the hot sunny cruise without a sunburn….forgot to put on sunscreen today and the unexpectedly nice day took it’s toll….
