Been a big week on the Kevin front.
Braces: We had his checkup at the orthodontist this week; most cases are upper jaws growing over the lower jaw and the way to handle that is early intervention (so says the ortho…95% go this way). Kevin (and me…lucky Kevin) are the opposite…our lower jaws are trying to move forward too fast, and early intervention is not the plan. So, will have to wait for several years to see if the lower jaw actually does move too far forward and get braces (and maybe surgery) at that time.

Contacts: Kevin has been asking for contacts for a while, so, this trip to the optometrist we decided to go for it. Surprised, at the end of the exam, that he’s wearing them on the way out. Apparently they had them in stock. I guess the first 12 hours have gone ok; I know he had a lot of trouble getting one out last night. They are monthly, and he can’t/shouldn’t wear them at night, and there are a bunch of other questions about them that I didn’t get answered at the appointment yesterday. More updates on this later….
