A bunch of #epicfail on the multimedia front…forgot the memory card for the camera for game 3 and then taped and took pictures for game 4, got home, and that’s all gone…and the camera won’t read the card anymore.
Sigh.
Game 3: The team took on a U9 team from Novi. This team was big, they were physical, and I think they definitely intimidated our kids and we ended up losing 2-0.
But, with 2 wins and the head-to-head tie-breaker, we move on to the Championship Game!
Game 4: Our opponent? The U9 team from Novi that was big and physical and beat us earlier in the day.
This game got off to a different start; Matthew scored a goal in the first three or four minutes of the game and that seemed to completely change the course of the game. We added another goal late in the 1st half and out-hustled and out-lasted the physical play (at one point one of the kids fell on Matthew and it looked like he was doing an elbow drop on Matthew as he came down…) to claim the championship!
The team’s reward? A huge honking trophy for each of them. I had pictures of that, but….
I know Suzanne has a picture on her Iphone…I’ll grab that later (edit: recovered this picture off the card. Still trying to figure out if I have the video of Matthew’s goal or not…)
