We made our annual pilgrimage to the Ingham County Fair Saturday night…a lesson in trickle-down economics (from us, to the carnies).
One of the highlights was that this time we actually knew someone who would be showing off their ‘pets’….Julia and Nicholas live right around the corner and the boys play with them ALL OF THE TIME (Julia is in Kevin’s grade…). They have raised these pigs on their Dad’s farm, and well, here they are at the fair…..

Two shocks on the ride front. First, it was Christopher who was Kevin’s primary riding partner and the big guy had an absolute blast on everything. Second, Kevin got all ‘queasy’ after a dinner of corn dogs and cheese fries and wasn’t very keen on riding after that….by then Matthew was fully into the ride scene so it wasn’t that big of a deal.
We did complete our annual goldfish acquisition and our game of Survivor: Graystone is on…five fish came home with us and we’ll see how many our left by the time next August swings around (last years final contestant made it only until May…although we have had one last for almost four years once!)
