The last three games of the season; all rematches of the first three games. This time, I get to see the other boy against these opponents.
Cpher: Lost to Parkside, lost to Holt, beat East Lansing. Same results as the first games, but, I saw the first and the last. Not much more to say here.
Lost 56-23 to Parkside. The shortest highlight clip I’ve done this year. Cpher had 4 points.
Let me see…what did Suzanne say about the Holt game? “Not getting any extra time so far.” The coach had told Cpher that he knew he had been slighted and promised some extra time in some of these games…..never came through with it. “2 points for Cpher”. “Crazy…pulled out with not even 3 minutes of playing time. Whole team pulled”. “Losing 17-12 halfway through 2”. “Down 23-17 at half”. “So hate this playing time stuff. No time in first and not looking like any time in 3rd.” “Back in with 90 seconds”. “Losing 32-21 after 3”. “Pulled out in 4th. We’ll see if he comes back in. Right no only 3 minutes total in 2nd half.” “Back in…made a nice basket.” “44-28 final.”
Beat East Lansing 56-44. Cpher again had 4 points; like these two points the best….he is boxing out his shorter opponent and goes back up with the rebound. Also had one nice block I caught in the highlights as well.
Matthew: For the first time, ever, the 7th grade teams both finished the season undefeated. A pretty good season for that group of boys. Beat the same three teams Cpher played pretty soundly. Only saw the Holt game.
Beat Holt….hmmm, I didn’t do a highlight clip for this game. Probably because I left for Pittsburgh early the next morning. :( Will try and do that in the next week.
