Henry Ford Museum

Never did get these pictures up here.

Day after Thanksgiving we went down to the Henry Ford Museum with Suzanne’s Uncle Greg.  Some of us have been to Greenfield Village; the other half of the museum-y type things down here but that’s not a great idea this time of year (cold…brrr.).  Actually, Suzanne has been trying to get us down here for the Christmas Light display for years; we had tickets one year (when I was gone for Hurricane Sandy) and it snowed a tone and they had to bail out.

Anyway, never made it to the museum until now.

(Lots of automobiles here….of course.  This is one of the presidential limousines they have on display.  A few trains and planes too…)

(They had a ‘68 Cougar!  Wow!)

(turns out I’m a failure as a father; have never taught the boys how to make paper airplanes.  They had an area where you could make them and test them out to see how far they fly.  I impressed the boys with this alternative design THAT I LEARNED AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE YOU SHOULD LEARN THESE TYPE OF THINGS.  Kids these days with this internet-stuff!)

(They had a Lego-building area…..like moths to a flame.  Near this are was a display I should have taken some pictures of….items displaying technology and culture from the last 50 years.  Had a good time explaining some of the early 80’s stuff to Kevin…)

(they had a travelling exhibit from the NFL Hall of Fame on display.  So my Steeler-fan and I had a good time checking out the stuff)
