Dinner Monday night was about as far out into the Pacific Ocean as we could get….we went to the Newport Beach pier, and, at the end of the pier, had dinner at Ruby’s Diner.
There is seating indoors and on top of the building; we settled for up on top (which could be quite a challenge if it were really windy, but, it wasn’t that night)

Finished the night by taking the three minute ferry across to Balboa Island and driving back to the hotel for some late night swimming.
