Matthew’s regular season with the TNT U9s started Sunday 90 minutes away in Canton with two games in 4 hours.
Game 1: A 7-3 win against Canton that wasn’t , or shouldn’t have been, that close. We had some great goals on some sweet passes; we gave up some goals on some very suspect defense that I hope won’t happen much in the future.
Matthew had one goal; it is here. The video is quick; not even 30 seconds I think…..
Game 2: A 8-1 win against Bloomfield that again, wasn’t that close. For the entire second half, the boys had to make sure everyone on the field touched the ball before they were allowed to try to score….our passes back to our goalie posed more of an offensive threat than what the other team was up to. No scoring from Matthew here; he was on defense in the first half and the second half didn’t yield many opportunities.
Still seems to be falling down a lot….not sure what’s going on with that but hope he grows out of it soon….
Have to think that we’re going to be moved up in divisions if we keep walloping teams like this…
